For Spreadex sports customers in Great Britain, Spreadex says card withdrawals are received within 2 hours of the withdrawal being approved; that is a payment transfer time counted from approval, and Spreadex does not publish how long approval takes.3 It adds that payments to cards whose issuer cannot accept this method take 2–5 days to be received, and that a bank transfer should be in your account within 2 working days, figures that do not say which stage they cover.3 Same-day CHAPS is available for a £25 charge, with same-day deadlines of 10:00 for amounts over £50,000 and 13:00 for amounts under £50,000,3 and none of these figures is a guaranteed receipt time.

Spreadex withdrawal times by method
Spreadex publishes different times for different payment methods, and sometimes for different stages. We show each stage in its own column: operator processing is Spreadex's own review and release; payment transfer is the bank or provider's delivery time; a single stated time is used where Spreadex gives one figure, labelled "request to receipt" or "stage not stated" exactly as the source allows.

Conditions and notes. Our summary of what each operator says alongside the figures above; follow the numbered sources for the exact wording.
UK debit card (Visa, Maestro, Mastercard)
- The 2-hour figure is a fast card payout counted from approval (Visa Fast Funds / Mastercard Send style; the operator does not name the scheme). Some card issuers cannot accept it, and payments to those cards 'take the more traditional 2 – 5 days to be received' (start point not stated).
- No approval or processing time is published.
- Card withdrawals must go back to the card used to deposit.
- Deposits can also be made by phone (01727 895 000).
- The sports page lists Visa and Switch/Maestro debit cards for deposits but refers to Visa/Mastercard for withdrawals.
Paypal
- Spreadex says it does not currently accept deposits from e-wallets, naming PayPal.
Apple Pay
- No withdrawal time published for Apple Pay.
Google Pay
- No withdrawal time published for Google Pay.
Moneybookers
- Spreadex names 'Moneybookers' (Skrill's former brand name) among the e-wallets it does not accept for deposits; it does not mention Skrill by name.
Neteller
- Spreadex says it does not currently accept deposits from e-wallets, naming Neteller.
Bank Transfer / Direct Credit Bank Transfer
- Deposits: 'Bank Transfers are credited within 2 working days'; the customer's Spreadex account number must be quoted as the reference.
- Withdrawals: bank details must first be registered by email, live chat or phone.
- International transfers and transfers in currencies other than sterling incur additional charges (amount not published).
- A same-day CHAPS option at £25 is recorded separately.
Pay by Bank
- A Pay by Bank deposit must be made before withdrawing by Pay by Bank.
- Spreadex calls it 'the fastest way to receive funds' and describes 'an instant bank transfer to or from your Spreadex account', but gives no withdrawal processing or arrival time, so no numeric window is recorded.
Cheque
- Deposit cheques must be payable to Spreadex Ltd and drawn on an account in the customer's name.
- Withdrawal cheques are requested by email, live chat or phone; no timing published.
CHAPS same-day transfer
- Same-day delivery cut-offs: 10:00 for amounts over £50,000 and 13:00 for amounts under £50,000.
Direct Debit
- Set up by phone or a signed mandate. Amounts owing are collected when statements are released every Tuesday. If the customer wishes, funds from closed trades can be sent back when there are no open positions; this wording relates to spread betting trades, so its use for the fixed-odds wallet is not stated.
Spreadex deposit methods and where withdrawals are paid
Operator-stated, our summary Card withdrawals must go back to the card used to deposit. Pay by Bank withdrawals require an earlier Pay by Bank deposit. Third-party payments are not accepted; all payments must come from an account in the account holder's name.3

Spreadex withdrawal limits and fees
Operator-stated, our summary Spreadex does not charge for holding an account. Same-day CHAPS withdrawals cost £25, and international or non-sterling bank transfers carry additional charges. The sports payment page states no other deposit or withdrawal fee. The financial trading payment page (a separate, FCA-side page) says Spreadex reserves the right to charge £1 on debit card deposits under £50; this sentence does not appear on the sports page.367
Published minimum withdrawal: £5 for the methods that state one (see the table above).
For how limits and fees work generally, see withdrawal limits and fees explained.
Verification before a Spreadex withdrawal
Operator-stated, our summary When an account is opened, Spreadex checks identity and may ask for photo ID and proof of address. It asks for employment details but says it will not contact the employer. No withdrawal-specific verification rule appears on the sports HTML pages; that detail appears to be in the Customer Agreement PDF, which could not be snapshotted.6
Gambling Commission rules limit when a business can ask for information only at the point of withdrawal. Read verification and your withdrawal rights.
Pending, cancelled or declined Spreadex withdrawals
Operator-stated, our summary Withdrawals from the fixed-odds wallet cannot be cancelled. For the spread betting wallet, customers can ask Spreadex to remove the option to cancel online withdrawal requests.8
If a withdrawal is taking longer than the stated time, work through what to check when a withdrawal is pending.
Spreadex withdrawals at weekends and on bank holidays
Operator-stated, our summary Bank transfers are stated in working days (deposits credited, and withdrawals expected, within 2 working days). Same-day CHAPS has cut-offs of 10:00 for amounts over £50,000 and 13:00 for smaller amounts. Fast card payouts are counted from approval. No statement on weekend or bank-holiday withdrawal processing was found.3

Lost, replaced or expired cards
Operator-stated, our summary A customer who no longer holds the deposit card can register a new card or ask to be paid by cheque or bank transfer.3
Closed or self-excluded accounts
Operator-stated, our summary During a fixed-odds timeout (1 day to 6 weeks) the customer cannot use the fixed-odds part of the account but can still access it to withdraw any remaining balance. Fixed-odds self-exclusion runs for at least six months. The sports HTML pages do not say what happens to the balance on self-exclusion or account closure.8

What we found in Spreadex's own pages
- Which account this covers. Spreadex’s sports site offers sports spread betting, regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and fixed-odds betting, licensed by the Gambling Commission.34 This guide covers the sports account only; financial spread betting is out of scope, and retail clients need a separate account for it.6 Within a sports account, Spreadex refers to a fixed-odds wallet that sits apart from the main spread betting account.8
- Open positions affect what you can withdraw. The £5 minimum withdrawal applies to cleared funds on your trading ledger that are not supporting the “margin/NTR” on any open positions; if less than £5 is available, you can only withdraw the full amount.3
- Cancelling depends on the wallet. Withdrawals from the fixed-odds wallet cannot be cancelled. For the spread betting wallet, Spreadex says you can ask it to remove the option to cancel online withdrawal requests.8
- Card details are uneven. The 2-hour card figure starts at approval and no approval time is published; the 2–5 day figure for cards that cannot take the newer payout does not say when the count starts.3 The same page lists UK debit cards (Visa, Switch/Maestro) for deposits but refers to Visa and Mastercard for withdrawals, and says card withdrawals must go back to the deposit card, up to £25,000 at a time.3
- No times for Pay by Bank, Apple Pay, Google Pay or cheque. Spreadex describes Pay by Bank as its quickest way to receive funds and requires an earlier Pay by Bank deposit, but gives no processing or arrival time for it.3 Apple Pay and Google Pay withdrawals share the £25,000 maximum, also without a time, and cheque withdrawals are arranged by contacting Spreadex.3
- Bank transfer set-up and charges. Before a bank transfer withdrawal, your bank details have to be registered with Spreadex by email, live chat or phone. International transfers and transfers in currencies other than sterling carry additional charges, which are not quantified.3
- Terms we could not read. The terms index links a Customer Agreement and supplementary terms,9 published as a PDF that we could not capture as text, so its withdrawal and verification clauses are not reflected here. The sports help pages do not say what happens to a balance on self-exclusion or account closure; they do say you can still withdraw during a fixed-odds timeout.8
Contacting Spreadex and making a complaint
