Short answer

For Sky Bet customers in Great Britain, Sky Bet says withdrawals to all Visa cards and participating Mastercards should be in your bank account within 1–4 hours, and that withdrawals to other cards should be in your bank 2–5 working days from the date you requested them; both are request-to-receipt (end-to-end) estimates.6 For Pay by Bank it asks you to allow at least 90 minutes for a first withdrawal and says later ones “should be instant”.7 No withdrawal is allowed until your account is fully verified,1 and none of these figures is a guaranteed receipt time.

Sky Bet withdrawal times by method

Sky Bet publishes different times for different payment methods, and sometimes for different stages. We show each stage in its own column: operator processing is Sky Bet's own review and release; payment transfer is the bank or provider's delivery time; a single stated time is used where Sky Bet gives one figure, labelled "request to receipt" or "stage not stated" exactly as the source allows.

Conditions and notes. Our summary of what each operator says alongside the figures above; follow the numbered sources for the exact wording.

Card Payments (Debit Cards)

  • The 1-4 hour figure is for 'Instant Withdrawals': all Visa cards and participating Mastercards are eligible.
  • Card Payments - Standard Withdrawals (cards not eligible for instant withdrawals): 'Standard withdrawals should be in your bank 2-5 working days from the date you requested them' (end to end). Bank holidays are not working days. Minimum £5.00.
  • Instant withdrawals can occasionally take longer than 4 hours; contact Sky Bet if not received within 24 hours.
  • Terms clause 12.7 gives a 'standard minimum withdrawal amount' of £10, which contradicts the £5.00 on the help page.
  • Up to three debit cards per account. Credit cards cannot be used to deposit. Only cards in the customer's own name are allowed.
  • Card deposit minimum and maximum are not published.

PayPal

  • No longer accepted. Customers with a balance must add another method and make a £5 deposit with it before they can withdraw.

Apple Pay

  • Apple Pay withdrawals are only possible to a card that has already been used for an Apple Pay deposit on the Sky Betting & Gaming account.
  • No Apple Pay-specific withdrawal time, limits or fees are published.

Google Pay

  • No longer accepted. Customers with a balance must add another method and make a £5 deposit with it before they can withdraw.

Pay by Bank

  • Allow at least 90 minutes for the first Pay by Bank withdrawal; after that, withdrawals 'should be instant'.
  • In rare cases payments are delayed; contact Sky Bet if funds have not arrived after 24 hours.
  • UK customers must use GBP and have an eligible UK GBP bank account.
  • Deposit and withdrawal limits depend on the customer's bank; Sky Bet publishes no fixed maximum.
  • Powered by TrueLayer (Open Banking). Up to three bank associations per account.
  • Sky Bet suggests Pay by Bank for customers whose card or payment method does not accept withdrawals.

Revolut Pay

  • Only for customers registered in the UK using GBP.
  • Not available on Sky Poker.
  • 'Usually instant' is given under 'processing time'; whether it covers arrival in the Revolut account is not stated, so the basis is unspecified.

Sky Bet deposit methods and where withdrawals are paid

Operator-stated, our summary Sky Bet operates a 'Net Deposit' rule. Customers must withdraw to each payment method at least the amount deposited from it (over the previous 150 days) before withdrawing to another method. Once net deposits on every method are zero or below, extra funds can go to any registered method. Payment methods must be in the account holder's name. A payment method that does not accept withdrawals can be bypassed by withdrawing via Pay by Bank.11112

Sky Bet withdrawal limits and fees

Operator-stated, our summary The terms say Sky Bet does not charge for withdrawals to online payment services, UK debit cards or international Visa cards from non-restricted countries. The Pay by Bank and Revolut Pay pages say no fees apply. Sky Bet does not charge dormant account fees.1710

Published minimum withdrawal: £5 for the methods that state one (see the table above).

For how limits and fees work generally, see withdrawal limits and fees explained.

Verification before a Sky Bet withdrawal

Operator-stated, our summary New UK customers can deposit up to £1,500 in the first 30 days after their name, address and date of birth are verified. No withdrawal is allowed until the account is fully verified, and an unverified account is restricted after 30 days. Sky Bet runs electronic checks first and may then ask for documents. It aims to review documents within 4 hours, sometimes up to 24 hours. Documents are reviewed between 7am and 2am.1613

Gambling Commission rules limit when a business can ask for information only at the point of withdrawal. Read verification and your withdrawal rights.

Pending, cancelled or declined Sky Bet withdrawals

Operator-stated, our summary After a withdrawal request, the customer is told on screen whether it succeeded, and the account balance clears by the amount withdrawn. Several withdrawals may reach the bank in a different order from the requests. After 5 working days, Sky Bet can supply an Acquirer Reference Number (ARN) within 24 hours to help the bank trace a card payment. No option to cancel or reverse a pending withdrawal was found.16

If a withdrawal is taking longer than the stated time, work through what to check when a withdrawal is pending.

Sky Bet withdrawals at weekends and on bank holidays

Operator-stated, our summary Card timescales are in working days, and Sky Bet says bank holidays are not working days. The terms say withdrawals usually leave Sky Bet within 2 hours on the same working day they are requested. Sky Bet asks customers to allow 5 working days for all withdrawals to arrive before getting in touch.16

Lost, replaced or expired cards

Operator-stated, our summary If a withdrawal goes to a lost or expired card and the customer can still use the linked bank account, it is still processed but may take longer. If they cannot, the withdrawal should be declined and returned to the Sky Betting & Gaming balance. A replacement card from the same bank can be updated by editing the old card's details. A card from a closed account or a different bank needs proof of ownership before it can be removed.611

Closed or self-excluded accounts

Operator-stated, our summary Customers should withdraw remaining funds before closing an account, or contact customer service to withdraw them, unless Sky Bet is entitled to withhold funds. On a full-account self-exclusion, Sky Bet returns the remaining balance under its withdrawal policy. A UK account inactive for 24 months is dormant. Funds may be moved to an internal account after at least 30 days' notice, but the customer keeps the right to them, including after the account is deleted at 7 years.11415

What we found in Sky Bet's own pages

  • Two ways of describing card timing. The Withdrawal Queries page gives whole-journey figures: 1–4 hours for cards eligible for instant withdrawals and 2–5 working days for standard withdrawals.6 The terms split the journey into two stages: the money usually leaves Sky Bet within 2 hours on the working day the withdrawal was requested, followed by a clearance period set by the card issuing bank, normally same day if the receiving bank supports it and otherwise 2–5 working days.1 The help page adds that an instant card withdrawal can occasionally take longer than 4 hours, and asks you to get in touch if it has not arrived within 24 hours.6
  • Minimum withdrawal: £10 or £5. Clause 12.7 of the terms gives a standard minimum withdrawal of £10,1 while the help pages give £5.00 for card payments and for Pay by Bank,67 and the Revolut Pay page says that method has no minimum.10 The method table uses the help-page figures.
  • Pay by Bank in two places. The Withdrawal Queries page says Pay by Bank withdrawals appear in your bank immediately, and points customers whose card or payment method does not accept withdrawals to Pay by Bank.6 The Pay by Bank page adds the 90-minute allowance for a first withdrawal, asks you to wait 24 hours before getting in touch because payments are occasionally delayed, and says limits depend on your bank.7
  • Revolut Pay and Apple Pay. Revolut Pay withdrawals are described as “usually instant” under the heading of processing time, without saying whether that includes arrival in your Revolut account.10 Apple Pay withdrawals can only go to a card you have already deposited from through Apple Pay, and no Apple Pay withdrawal time is published.6
  • PayPal and Google Pay withdrawn. Sky Bet says PayPal and Google Pay are no longer accepted on any Sky Betting & Gaming brand, and that a £5 deposit must be made with any new payment method before funds can be withdrawn.9
  • Tracing a card payment. Sky Bet asks you to allow 5 working days for any withdrawal before getting in touch, and bank holidays do not count as working days.6 Once 5 working days have passed it can provide an Acquirer Reference Number (ARN) within 24 hours, which your bank can use to trace the payment.6 Sky Bet’s pages do not describe any way to cancel a withdrawal once it has been requested.

Contacting Sky Bet and making a complaint

Sky Bet names IBAS as its alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider116. You can usually go to ADR only after Sky Bet's own complaints process has finished or 8 weeks have passed.

Our guide to complaining about a delayed payout explains each step. BookiePayout cannot see your account or resolve disputes.
