For Betway customers in Great Britain, Betway’s terms state that your withdrawal will be processed in up to 24 hours, although this may vary at weekends.4 That is Betway’s own processing time and applies to all methods; Betway’s help centre says only that, once paid, funds take “a short time to clear, depending on your withdrawal method”,5 so no payment transfer time is published and the 24 hours is not a guaranteed receipt time. If Betway cannot verify you electronically, you need to send proof of identity and address before you can withdraw,6 and Betway no longer lets customers reverse a withdrawal.7

Betway withdrawal times by method
Betway publishes different times for different payment methods, and sometimes for different stages. We show each stage in its own column: operator processing is Betway's own review and release; payment transfer is the bank or provider's delivery time; a single stated time is used where Betway gives one figure, labelled "request to receipt" or "stage not stated" exactly as the source allows.

Conditions and notes. Our summary of what each operator says alongside the figures above; follow the numbered sources for the exact wording.
Debit Card
- The 24-hour processing figure is a general statement in the terms, not specific to cards; no time for the bank to receive card payouts is published for the UK.
- Credit cards and business or personal corporate debit cards cannot be used to deposit.
- If MasterCard, VISA or PayPal was used to deposit in the last month, those methods take preference for withdrawals.
- Express Deposit (deposit without the banking page) is available for card deposits only, for eligible customers.
PayPal
- The 24-hour processing figure is a general statement in the terms, not specific to PayPal.
- Only one PayPal account can be registered to Betway at a time; it must be in the customer's name and its ID must match the email on the Betway account.
Apple Pay
- The 24-hour processing figure is a general statement in the terms, not specific to Apple Pay.
- The £5 minimum comes from the help centre's general statement; the terms name only debit card and PayPal for the £5 minimum.
- Where an Apple Pay withdrawal is paid to (the underlying card or elsewhere) is not published.
Trustly
- Listed as a deposit method only; UK help does not say whether Trustly withdrawals are available. Betway says available withdrawal methods show in the Banking Withdrawal tab.
Bank Transfer
- Not in the UK 'Ways to Deposit' list. Bank transfer appears only in a worked example ('You select Bank Transfer as your withdrawal option') and in an IBAN/SWIFT explainer filed under Withdrawal Queries, so UK availability is not confirmed.
- Betway says it will not process to accounts with account numbers exceeding 10 digits.
Truelayer – Instant Bank Payment / Pay by Bank
- Described for deposits only (Betway says the deposit transaction is instant); withdrawal support not stated.
Betway deposit methods and where withdrawals are paid
Operator-stated, our summary Betway processes withdrawals back to the deposit method wherever possible, and only to accounts in the customer's own name. Where several accounts of the same type were used, it pays the one used most recently to deposit. If MasterCard, VISA or PayPal was used in the last month, those methods take preference, and if a processing partner only handles deposits Betway pays to another method. The terms say adding or updating withdrawal payment details is done through Customer Service (the help centre also describes an online route; see notes).4915

Betway withdrawal limits and fees
Operator-stated, our summary Betway's terms do not describe normal withdrawals as free. They say Betway incurs fees on payments, which is why there is a £5 minimum withdrawal, and that a balance below the minimum can still be withdrawn less a £1 processing fee. The customer's payment provider may also charge. Accounts with no login for 12 months become inactive and are charged £5 a month while in credit.4
Published minimum withdrawal: £5 for the methods that state one (see the table above).
For how limits and fees work generally, see withdrawal limits and fees explained.
Verification before a Betway withdrawal
Operator-stated, our summary Betway says UK rules require it to verify all customers. It tries to verify electronically first; if that fails, proof of identity and address must be sent before funds can be withdrawn. Uploaded ID is approved by email, which Betway says can take up to 24 hours. Its terms add that identification documents may be required before a payment is made, which may cause a delay.461617
Gambling Commission rules limit when a business can ask for information only at the point of withdrawal. Read verification and your withdrawal rights.
Pending, cancelled or declined Betway withdrawals
Operator-stated, our summary A withdrawal moves through Pending (queued), Processing commenced, Processing completed (sent for payment) and Paid. Betway says it no longer allows customers to reverse withdrawals. Pending withdrawals are reprocessed within 24 hours after the customer updates their payment method.7131819

Betway withdrawals at weekends and on bank holidays
Operator-stated, our summary Betway's terms say withdrawals are processed in up to 24 hours, though this may vary at weekends. No bank-holiday rule or cut-off time is published for the UK, and the UK help centre gives no clearance times after payment.45

Lost, replaced or expired cards
Not published in the pages we checked. We record this as unknown, not as a negative finding.
Closed or self-excluded accounts
Operator-stated, our summary Customers should withdraw their balance before closing an account. If they do not, Betway tries to return funds where a preferred payment method has been provided; if it cannot, a £5 monthly fee applies from 12 months after the closure request. On self-exclusion Betway closes the account, tries to return the balance, cancels unused bonus money and pays winnings on open bets when they settle. Funds it cannot return within 12 months are donated to a charity of its choosing.420

What we found in Betway's own pages
- Only one timing figure is published for the UK. The terms give “up to 24 hours” for processing,4 and the UK help article “How long will it take to receive my withdrawal?” gives no figures at all.5 We found no UK page with per-method withdrawal times, limits or fees.
- The £5 minimum is worded differently, and withdrawals are not described as free. The terms set a £5 minimum “for debit card and PayPal transactions” to cover the fees Betway incurs on payments, and say a balance below the minimum can still be withdrawn less a £1 processing fee.4 The help centre says “The minimum withdrawal amount is £5” without naming methods.6
- The terms and the help centre differ on changing payout details. The terms say adding or updating payment details for a withdrawal “may only be done by contacting Customer Service”.4 The help article on your preferred method of payment describes doing it online in the Banking tab, and says pending withdrawals are reprocessed within 24 hours of the update.13
- Recent card or PayPal deposits take priority. If you have used Mastercard, Visa or PayPal recently, Betway says it has to pay withdrawals to those methods, and where you have used several accounts it pays the one you deposited from last.9
- Withdrawal support is not stated for some methods. Trustly and TrueLayer Pay by Bank are listed for deposits, with nothing said about withdrawals,8 and bank transfer appears only in a worked example and an IBAN explainer.912 Betway says the methods available to you are shown in the Banking Withdrawal tab.6
- Complaint timescales differ. The terms say Betway will try to resolve a complaint within one month at most,4 while the help article says a determination “shouldn’t take longer than five working days”.21 The terms name IBAS for sports complaints and eCOGRA for casino complaints.4
- Not published: how expired or replaced cards are handled, bank-holiday rules, cut-off times and maximum withdrawals. Betway’s help centre redirects links by the visitor’s location, so the sources below for its help articles link to the UK help centre home page and name each article.
Contacting Betway and making a complaint
Betway names IBAS (sports complaints); eCOGRA (casino complaints) as its alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider42122. You can usually go to ADR only after Betway's own complaints process has finished or 8 weeks have passed.
Our guide to complaining about a delayed payout explains each step. BookiePayout cannot see your account or resolve disputes.
