BetMGM review: payments and account terms
BetMGM UK may suit customers in Great Britain who want sports betting, casino and live casino in one account and withdraw by card, PayPal, Apple Pay or bank transfer, each with a published minimum and maximum withdrawal.410 Its timing information is thin: one figure of 1–3 business days after approval covers every method, and no time is given for the approval itself.5 Anyone who wants to block casino but keep sports betting should look elsewhere, because every limit and exclusion applies to the whole account, and anyone likely to leave a balance untouched for a year should note the £5 monthly dormant-account fee.910 The Gambling Commission’s register shows no actions recorded against the licensee, LeoVegas Gaming PLC, although the Commission announced a £1.32 million penalty against LeoVegas in 2022.1415
How this page is funded: BookiePayout does not currently earn commission from any bookmaker on this page. If that changes, paid links will be labelled and will not change what we say, the order or which bookmakers are included. Affiliate disclosure.
We reviewed BetMGM UK from its own UK help centre, terms and payment pages and its Gambling Commission register entry (18 saved sources, last checked 19 October 2026). We did not open an account, deposit or test a withdrawal, and nothing here describes a personal experience. There is no score: the checklist below applies the same criteria to every bookmaker we review.

BetMGM UK (betmgm.co.uk) is run by LeoVegas Gaming PLC, a company registered in Malta (number C59314) and licensed by the Gambling Commission under account number 39198.3 Its help centre says the US site BetMGM.com is run by a separate entity.7 The same company runs LeoVegas, BetUK, Pink Casino, 21.co.uk and Slotboss, and BetMGM’s deposit limits and self-exclusion apply across all of them.8 The site offers sports betting, casino and live casino, the three products the help centre names on an account.910
What stands out
- Limits for every withdrawal route. The payment methods table gives a minimum and a maximum withdrawal for card, PayPal, Apple Pay and bank transfer.4 The figures are set out in the BetMGM withdrawal guide.
- Clear rules once a withdrawal is requested. A withdrawal cannot be cancelled once requested, and BetMGM asks customers to contact support if it has not arrived after 3 working days.5
- Balances are returned on closure and self-exclusion. The terms say funds are paid out when a customer closes the account (balances under £10 on request to Customer Support), and open bets still stand.9 During a self-exclusion, pending bets settle as usual and winnings can be withdrawn through customer support.11
- A broad set of limits. Deposit, net deposit, loss, stake and session limits are offered; lowering a deposit limit takes effect immediately, while raising one needs a 24-hour wait.8
- A named, free dispute service. BetMGM names IBAS as its free alternative dispute resolution provider and says emailed complaints are acknowledged within 24 hours.12
Limitations to know about
- One timing figure for every method. BetMGM says funds typically arrive within 1–3 business days once a withdrawal is approved and that times vary by method, but it gives no approval time, no figure for any single method and no weekend or bank holiday rule.5
- Fee wording differs between pages. The withdrawal article says BetMGM does not charge any fees for withdrawals,5 while the terms allow “a reasonable fee” for processing withdrawals under £10, which must be requested through Customer Support.3
- Apple Pay and Google Pay appear on different pages. The payment methods table lists Apple Pay but not Google Pay,4 and the depositing article lists Google Pay but not Apple Pay, so whether Google Pay can receive a withdrawal is not published.6
- Help articles disagree with the tools page. One help article says any request to decrease a limit is subject to a seven-day cool-off period,11 while the Safer Gambling Tools page says lowering a limit takes effect immediately.8 The closure article calls the self-service route a temporary closure.13
- Products cannot be blocked one at a time. Casino, Live Casino and Sports cannot be disabled separately, and any time-out, self-exclusion or limit affects the whole account.10
- Past penalties under the LeoVegas name. When checked, the register page for LeoVegas Gaming PLC said no regulatory actions had been recorded.14 On 3 August 2022 the Commission announced that LeoVegas would pay a £1.32 million penalty for social responsibility and anti-money laundering failures, and would receive an official warning and an audit; the article links to the full penalty for LeoVegas Gaming PLC, and the brands it names do not include BetMGM.15 On 2 May 2018 the Commission announced that LeoVegas would pay a £600,000 penalty for failings relating to misleading advertising and the handling of customers at the end of their self-exclusion period; that article does not name the legal entity.16 The Commission says public statements stay online for 3 years.16
Payments and withdrawals
Quickest stated route: Debit card: transfer 1–3 working days, processing time not stated.456
The full method-by-method table, limits, verification, pending and weekend rules are in our BetMGM UK withdrawal guide, which this review does not repeat.
Card, PayPal, Apple Pay and bank transfer are listed for both deposits and withdrawals.4 Under BetMGM’s closed-loop policy, money goes back to the method used to deposit, and a request to a different card, e-wallet or bank account may be delayed or cancelled.5
Verification is the step most likely to hold a payment: an account still pending verification may affect withdrawals, and BetMGM says its review of uploaded documents usually takes up to 3 business days.517 If the original payment method has expired, been cancelled or is no longer active, BetMGM asks customers to contact Support before requesting a withdrawal.5 The verification guide explains these checks.
Account terms
Each customer may hold one BetMGM account; where a duplicate was opened deliberately or fraudulently, the terms let BetMGM keep all or part of its positive balance.918
An account becomes dormant after 365 consecutive days without a login, and BetMGM says it emails around 30 days before.919 At least 30 days after its first attempt to notify the customer, a £5 monthly administration fee is taken from the balance, never from a payment method.919 A balance of £1 or less at the point of dormancy goes towards the withdrawal processing fee, and a dormant account with a zero balance is closed after more than 2 years.9
Customers can close the account at any time in account settings or through Customer Support, but any negative balance must be paid first.9 BetMGM can close an account for any reason with at least 14 days’ written notice, except where it suspects a prohibited practice, and funds cannot be withdrawn while an account is suspended for investigation.9
Safer gambling tools and support
BetMGM also offers Reality Check pop-ups at intervals such as 15, 30, 60 or 90 minutes.8 A time-out lasts from 24 hours to 6 weeks, cannot be reversed once confirmed, and covers only the site where it is set.820 Self-exclusion runs from 6 months to 5 years across every LeoVegas Gaming PLC site, and reopening afterwards needs a live chat request, a phone confirmation and a 24-hour cooling-off period.8 The help centre says a GAMSTOP registration already excludes a customer from all operators in Great Britain.21 The responsible gambling page lists independent support services.
BetMGM says its customer support team is available 24/7.22 Live chat is reached from the menu under Support, and the email address is support@betmgm.co.uk.23 The contact article offers a phone callback only to logged-in customers who give at least 24 hours’ notice, and gives no number to call.23

BetMGM is clearest on the rules around a withdrawal: where money can go, limits for each route, cancellation, expired cards, closed accounts and disputes.4512 It is thinnest on timing, where one general figure starts only after an unpublished approval step, and on consistency, where fee wording and payment method lists differ between pages.356
