Virgin Bet review: payments and account terms
Virgin Bet may suit customers in Great Britain who want a bookmaker that separates its own processing from the payment transfer: it aims to process withdrawals within 24 hours, gives a transfer estimate for each listed method, and says it does not ordinarily charge to deposit or withdraw.26 Readers who want a general customer service phone line or one consistent Visa payout time should look elsewhere, as its contact page lists only email and live chat and its help articles give Visa both 1–3 working days and 2–3 hours.6723 Anyone likely to leave a balance untouched should note that a dormant account is charged 5% of the balance or £5 a month, whichever is greater.21 Its licensee, Virgin Bet Limited (account 54310), had no regulatory actions recorded on the register when checked.13
How this page is funded: BookiePayout does not currently earn commission from any bookmaker on this page. If that changes, paid links will be labelled and will not change what we say, the order or which bookmakers are included. Affiliate disclosure.
We reviewed Virgin Bet from its own UK help centre, terms and payment pages and its Gambling Commission register entry (27 saved sources, last checked 19 October 2026). We did not open an account, deposit or test a withdrawal, and nothing here describes a personal experience. There is no score: the checklist below applies the same criteria to every bookmaker we review.

Virgin Bet is operated by Virgin Bet Limited, a Gibraltar-registered company that holds its own Gambling Commission licence under account 54310.12 The register shows its remote casino and general betting licences as Active since 21 May 2019, with “virgin bet” as an active trading name.34 The help centre says Virgin Bet is owned and operated by LiveScore Group Limited, and that Virgin Games is run by a different group, Gamesys.910
The UK site offers sports betting, including virtual sports, plus casino, live casino and daily free games.11 There is an app on the App Store and Google Play.12 When checked, the Commission’s regulatory actions page for Virgin Bet Limited said no regulatory actions had been recorded, and its public statements register listed none for the company.1314
What stands out
- Processing and transfer are separated. Virgin Bet aims to process all withdrawals internally within 24 hours of the request, then gives a transfer estimate for each listed method, such as 2–3 working days (up to 5) for bank transfer.6
- No fees stated. The terms say Virgin Bet ordinarily does not charge to deposit or withdraw, the withdrawal table lists each method’s fee as free, and the deposit FAQ says no deposit fee applies to any method, though some card providers may treat a deposit as a cash advance.278
- A clear closed-loop explanation. Net Deposits are worked out per payment method over the last six months, and once they are balanced any remaining funds can go to a method of your choice.15
- Replaced and inactive cards are covered. A replacement card must be added as a new payment method, and a withdrawal sent to an inactive card should still succeed if the linked bank account is open; if it cannot be paid, the money usually comes back within 30 days.1617
- A 24/7 player protection line. The Player Protection Team can be phoned 24/7 on 0808 169 9552, and loss limits are applied automatically to every new account.1819
Limitations to know about
- Conflicting Visa times. The withdrawal times article lists Visa at 1–3 working days, the Popular Withdrawal Questions table gives a Visa transfer time of 2–3 hours, and a third article says an approved withdrawal typically takes 1 to 5 business days to clear.6720
- Gaps for some methods. Apple Pay is missing from the withdrawal table of fees and limits, Revolut Pay is listed as accepted with no withdrawal information, and the help centre does not say whether “Bank Transfer” withdrawals use open banking or an ordinary transfer.57
- A percentage dormancy charge. After 395 days with no transaction, the terms deduct 5% of the balance or £5, whichever is greater, each month, while the help centre says such accounts are marked dormant and closed.2122 The terms do say the full pre-dormancy balance is refunded if you provide updated bank details.21
- Self-excluded balances wait. The terms say settled amounts in an account cannot be accessed until the self-exclusion period expires.2
- Limited contact routes. The contact page lists email and live chat only, with no general customer service phone number and no opening hours, and email replies can take up to 24 hours.2324
- A missing reference page. The payment methods article refers readers to a “Payment Information page”, but no such page was found in the help centre.5
Payments and withdrawals
Quickest stated route: Debit card: processing up to 24 hours, transfer 1–3 working days.5678
The full method-by-method table, limits, verification, pending and weekend rules are in our Virgin Bet withdrawal guide, which this review does not repeat.
Virgin Bet accepts debit cards (Visa and Mastercard), Apple Pay, PayPal, Pay by Bank and Revolut Pay.5 Funds must first go back to each method with a positive net deposit, which can split a withdrawal across several methods, and every payment method must be in your own name.1525 A requested withdrawal leaves your balance, shows as Pending while processed and cannot be cancelled.7
Withdrawals are blocked while documents are unverified or Know Your Customer checks are pending.26 Virgin Bet aims to review submitted documents within 24 hours, and its compliance team aims to reply on source-of-funds checks within five working days.2728
Account terms
You must be 18 or over, live in Great Britain and register in your own name, and Virgin Bet does not serve anyone who is not physically in the UK; non-UK cards are blocked.2129 You may hold one account, and if you create duplicates Virgin Bet may close them all and withhold the deposit balance or winnings.21 It gives at least one month’s notice before any dormancy deduction.21
You can close your account at any time from Safer Gambling > Account Closure on the website, from the app settings, or by email or live chat; a closure requested through customer support takes effect within seven calendar days.2124 Outstanding funds, less any active bonus, are then sent to your debit card, bank account or another payment method you have used.21 Virgin Bet may also suspend or close an account at any time, taking reasonable steps to notify you first, and refunds the entire withdrawable balance when it does.21
Safer gambling tools and support
Deposit limits can be daily, weekly or monthly; reductions apply immediately, while increases or removals have a 24-hour cooling-off period and must then be confirmed.3031 Loss limits cannot be removed; to raise them you call 0808 169 9552 and go through an affordability assessment.32 A cool-off of 24 hours to six weeks blocks logging in and cannot be ended early, and a Reality Check session reminder is available.213334
Self-exclusion runs for six months, one year, two years or up to five years and takes effect within 24 hours; it covers all LiveScore Group sites but not Virgin Games, and reopening afterwards can only be completed by phone with the Player Protection Team.1021 Casino games can also be blocked on request until you ask for the block to be lifted.35
Support is by email to support@virginbet.com or by live chat from the Chat link at the bottom of the page.23 Virgin Bet aims to give a full response to complaints within 14 working days and names eCOGRA as its alternative dispute resolution service.36

Virgin Bet is clearest on the shape of a withdrawal: an internal processing aim, a transfer estimate per method, and specific answers on cancelled, returned and replaced-card payments.61617 It is thinner on consistency and coverage: the Visa figure differs between articles, Apple Pay has no published withdrawal minimum, and Revolut Pay has no withdrawal information at all.567 The Virgin Bet withdrawal guide shows each route’s stated times, stage by stage.
